Gumshoe is a unique NES action game where players take on the role of a private detective named Mr. Stevenson. Using the NES Zapper, players shoot on-screen objects to help the character jump and avoid obstacles as he pursues criminals.

The game combines shooting and platforming elements, offering a different experience from typical NES titles. Its engaging mechanics challenge players to time their shots precisely to guide the detective through each level.
