Released as a limited edition slip-covered package along with the regular version of the game, this release of Dead or Alive on the Sega Saturn included a photo book and a unique cd label different from the regular version. The unique label is emblazoned with a promotional image of the character named Kasumi in a hot spring. Additionally, code of the game can be seen on the right side of the label. The slip-cover states on its left side "Exclusive [DEAD OR ALIVEN for SS LIMITED EDITION BOX] DEAD OR ALIVE Visual book [PICTURES] and 4 proces color Picture label included!" followed by the same in Japanese script. Additionally there's a line of Japanese script on the left of side of the slip-cover that says 「あなたに私は倒せない。」or "I will not be defeated by you.". The limited edition's CD case also has no back or inner label, giving it a transparent clear backing so the player could see the game disc as it was placed uniquely upside down.
