Microsoft released only a few of these consoles as part of the Xbox launch. It was only used for PR purposes and never sold to the general public. There are only two of these consoles with the "Halo Special Edition" markings on it known (currently) to be in existence, with rumors saying there may be as many as 2-3 more in existence. One was recently featured in a MetalJesusRocks Youtube video. It was found at a garage sale and recently re-sold for $15,000. The other belongs to a redditor and collector in Australia who reportedly purchased the console for approximately $5,500.
